About Ecas

Supporting adults with physical disabilities since 1902

Ecas supports adults with physical disabilities in Edinburgh and Lothian. We’ve done so for over 100 years.

The Ecas mission is to promote equality, choice and participation for physically disabled people through our activities, befriending service and grants. We provide opportunities for people to be self-fulfilled and to participate in all aspects of society. We also work to promote disability equality throughout society.

Ecas eligibility

In deciding whether someone is eligible for our services, Ecas follows the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) definition of physical disability. Please find out more about eligibility here >>

Volunteer with Ecas

Ecas is on the lookout for Volunteer Befrienders who would like to:

  • meet new people
  • gain training and experience
  • contribute to the community

As little as two hours a week can make a big difference to someone who is isolated because of disability. Find out more about Volunteer Befriending with Ecas
