Swimming for Disabled Adults
Thursdays 1-3pm
Ecas, Norton Park, Albion Road EH7 5QY
A chance to improve your health, strength, co-ordination and confidence through swimming. Many people benefit from exercising in soothing warm water.
There’s plenty of support including:
- Neck cushions
- Flotation aids
- Hoist to assist with changing
- Hoist and steps to get into the pool
With gentle guidance, our experienced Group Leader Aoife and Swimming Lifeguard Sophie you can access the water within a supportive environment, where you feel comfortable to pursue your own goals.
Group members have varied priorities within the swimming group. Some attend for relaxation within the warm water, others have more of an exercise focus. The water can allow access to body positions difficult for some to achieve on land.
Swim to the groove
Having a waterproof speaker means the swimming group moves to the music!
