Jennifer Learmonth

Jennifer Learmonth joined Ecas as a volunteer Befriender in May 2013. Jen has worked in a range of organisations across the third sector in Edinburgh, in a variety of environments supporting adults, young people and children with their mental health, to live independently and most importantly to have fun.

In October 2018, Jen joined the Ecas Board. Due to her experience as a volunteer Befriender with Ecas, she has seen first-hand the positive impact the organisation has on its clients and its volunteers. Over the years Jen has studied with the Open University to gain an Honours Degree in Health and Social Care, something she hopes will benefit the Board and her future work.

Jen is a huge animal lover and often spends her free time relaxing with her two cats or on dog walks with her family and their Staffy rescue. She is a big fan of live music, and also loves escaping the city life for the Highlands every few months.
