Due to changing circumstances of our service users during the pandemic, we have availability for most of our activities and we are keen to have new people involved and to benefit from what we do.
If you operate a service, organisation or know people who might benefit from our services, we are always available and interested in finding new ways to link people who might benefit from Ecas’ work. We are always open to attending team meetings in person or online to provide an overview of our services and what we provide.
Activities:
Our activities range from Tai Chi through to Music and Crafts, and all activities cost just £2.30 per session. If you wish to trial a session before committing to coming along every week, new members can trial an activity for two weeks for free before signing up! Whilst our groups have all returned to in person activities, some groups continue to be accessible via zoom.
To find out more about our activities or to enquire please contact Janice Todd: email Janice@ecas.scot or call 07500 221618 / 0131 4752344
Grants:
Our Covid relief grants fund provides a diverse range of grants to help improve the lives of physically disabled people of any age living in Edinburgh and Lothian. Historically our grants have been used to provide: holidays, white goods, technology and student fees, and other things inaccessible via welfare and statutory sources. We have recently partnered with Edinburgh Mobility Solutions and are now able to consider applications for funding for power-parks retrofitted to manual wheelchairs.

Befriending:
Could you spare a couple of hours per week to provide friendship and companionship for an isolated, physically disabled adult? Volunteering as a Befriender is a great way to gain confidence and experience, meet new people and have fun doing something really rewarding. Our befriending staff match you up with someone based on common interests and provide ongoing support and out-of-pocket expenses.
Find out more about volunteering as a befriender ecas.scot/befriending/become-a-volunteer-befriender/ and for enquiries please contact Sam Collins, Befriending Manager at sam@ecas.scot or call 07825 305376.
If you know anybody or any organisations who might benefit from learning about what Ecas provides, we would love it if you would share this digital flyer with them, or signpost them to get in touch with us! We are eager to fill up our remaining spaces within our activity groups to ensure nobody who could benefit from being a part of what we do, is left out!
