Anne McDonald

Finance and personnel committee
Anne

When Ecas needed a volunteer driver in 1981 to help transport clients to and from our Art class in Prestonfield School, Anne happily volunteered her time and driving skills for the cause. She went on to drive our clients to fun locations all over Edinburgh until our beloved minibus was retired.

Roll on 35+ years and Anne is still happily part of the Ecas family as part of the Finance and personnel committee after initially joining the board in 1987. Anne’s involvement took on a new lease of life when she joined our Art group in 2004 to assist our Activity Leader and make the best tea this side of Edinburgh! It’s an inspiration to see Anne still so actively involved with life at Ecas.

What clients say about Ecas

We feel confident now and realise we can do things we couldn’t do before but we can do them now!

Barbara

Thank you Ecas for supporting us to go on a holiday. The cottage has been great: wheelchair accessible with amazing views around.

The Dukan family

(My befriender) brings the outside world in.

Margaret

The group is a fantastic way to come together and talk about things: books; our lives; what’s important to us.

David

Ecas: a good place to be.
